Guide to Mir Amin Palace

Beit ed-Dine - Museums
Mir Amin Palace, Qasr al Amir Amin, is a nineteenth-century mansion in Beit ed-Dine, in the Shouf mountains of Lebanon. Built in the circle of the Chehab court, it has the arcades, formal rooms and gardens associated with emirate architecture, and today welcomes guests as a historic palace hotel. From the terraces the view opens over Beiteddine and the valleys toward the coast. The palace is a practical base for visiting Beiteddine Palace, Deir el Qamar and the Shouf cedar reserves, and it is also a destination in its own right for anyone interested in Lebanese palace architecture. History and a quieter mountain setting are the reasons travellers look it up.
