Welcome to Sultan River

Baaqline
Nahr al Sultan, the Sultan’s River, is a stream valley at Baaqline in the Chouf, a nature stop beside a town known for palaces, presses and a serail. Water, plane trees or poplars, and a path used by locals for an afternoon walk are what you come for. Flow is seasonal. The stop pairs with the Hamadeh Palace and the old presses if you want both heritage and a green break. Stay on the public edge of the water, do not leave litter and be careful with children on wet stone. It is a modest nature sight that makes Baaqline more than an architectural visit.
