Masjid Mazboud is the mosque of Mazboud, a Chouf village in the hills above the coast. It is the community prayer hall and the simplest way to identify the centre when lanes are unnamed on your map. The building is local and contemporary in use even if the village is old. Dress modestly and respect prayer. Mazboud lies off the main palace road, which keeps it quieter than Deir el Qamar. Include the mosque if you are documenting Islamic landmarks village by village through the Chouf. There is no need to expect a historic monument plaque; expect a working masjid.
