Welcome to Bater Historical Mill

Bater
Bater Historical Mill is a traditional mill building in Bater, a spring village in the Chouf. Water from Nabaa Bater once turned millstones for the surrounding farms, and the surviving structure is a reminder of how mountain villages used their sources before electric mills. Stone channels, the mill room and the sound of the water are the reason to stop, especially on a walk that already includes Bater’s Garden and the upper trails toward Niha. It is a small historic place, not a large museum, so expect a short visit and a good excuse to explore the village. Travellers documenting rural heritage in Mount Lebanon will find it a clear, photogenic example of a water mill.
