Welcome to Maronite Eparchy
The Maronite archbishopric in Beit ed-Dine, Mutraniyat al Mawarina, is the episcopal seat beside the palace town of the Chouf. An archeparchy building is an institution as much as a church: offices, a chapel and the public face of the Maronite Church in a region also marked by Druze heritage and the Chehab palace. Visitors in Beiteddine for the palace, Mir Amin or Mar Maroun church can note the archbishopric as part of the town’s religious geography. Interiors may be administrative and not freely open. Dress modestly at the chapel. It is the right address for anyone looking up the Maronite hierarchy in the Chouf, not only parish churches.
