The Roman temple called Naous, near Ain Aakrine and Rechdibbine in the Koura, is a village Roman ruin whose name is the local word for the monument. The Koura is gentle hill country of olive groves between Batroun and Tripoli, and the temple is a short archaeological pause rather than a vast complex. Bziza’s temple is the other Roman stop in this orbit. Look for cut stone, a podium or cella fragments, and the way later houses kept the site in view. There is little shade or signage. It is a historic place for travellers completing a northern Roman list beyond the famous names.
