Guide to Our Lady of Salvation Church

The Church of Our Lady of Salvation in Zikrit, Kanisat Saydet al Khalas, is dedicated to the Virgin under a title of rescue and protection. It is one of three church landmarks in this Chouf village, with Al Wardieh and Domaine de Zekrit, and it matters most to the parish that uses it. Travellers will find a hillside church, a short stop and a view over the western Chouf toward the coast on a clear day. Dress modestly, and do not enter during liturgy only to take photos. Combined, the Zikrit churches make a coherent half hour between Barja and the higher mountain towns.
